David PROUX

Works

David Proux has been drawing for a very long time. His precise, black felt-tip drawings outline his reflections on society's excesses.

The result is a kind of kaleidoscopic vision of the themes that engage

his attention.

With this mapping clearly defined, he eagerly seizes the digital tool, the one most suited to the task, since it allows him to use flat areas of color, giving a perfect rendering to this profusion of open questions.

Duplicating the motif is also part of the process. While he keeps the black-and-white originals on paper, he wants to share his reflections, so he uses high-definition reproduction on aluminum, in the manner of an excellent photographic print.

The result is a 21st-century mandala, full of vibrancy.

The color acts like a magnet, allowing as many people as possible to grasp the motif.

With this in mind, he is also planning a second coloring book reproducing his drawings. It's intended for young and old alike... as if to give people time to think and find creative solutions to the world's failings.
